Goldrings frowned. He hadn’t personally known Morning all that well, but he hated seeing Frost like this.
“I’m sorry, Frost. I probably shouldn’t have asked,” he said. “If you’d said yes to bringing her back, I would’ve gladly flown through Tartarus to do so for you.” He picked up a cupcake and handed it across the table to Frost. “I’m sorry that I can’t be there to help you with everything.”
*Frost looks up at Goldrings, tears streaming down her face. She nods and sniffles, taking the cupcake*
Th-thank you, Goldrings… I… I just need some time… I appreciate the support…
*She wipes her eyes and takes a bite of the cupcake*
“How have things been in the weather factory?” Goldrings asked, trying to draw the conversation away from Morning. “I’m only a weather former, not one of the ones who work inside of it.”
((Whoops.))
((Been meaning to reblog to my new RP blog, but I kept forgetting to set them to it. Sorry, folks.))

Frost found Pinkie running around with two foals: Pound and Pumpkin Cake. Pumpkin’s horn glowed as she took to the air alongside her brother.
“Hey, no fair!” Pinkie exclaimed from below. She took notice of Frost. “Oh, hi there! You’re Frost, right? Nice to see you again!” She bounced over and shook Frost’s hoof quickly. “Hey! Is that a foal! Is she here to play with the twins?”
*Frost took the scene in, her mouth slightly agape at the sight. She was only pulled out of her shock when Pinkie shook her hoof*
Oh, uh… Yeah, nice to see you, Pinkie. This is my daughter, Northern Lights. Um… You sure you could watch her and the twins all at once?
“Oh, yeah, that’ll be easy as Pinkie Pie!” Pinkie promised. “Just set her down on the playmat. Can she fly, yet? Pleasesaynopleasesaynopleasesayno…”
*Northern Lights runs over to the playmat and starts playing with Pumpkin and Pound Cake*
No, she can’t fly yet. She’s still very young. I’ll leave her to you… If you need any help, feel free to come downstairs and get me, ok?
“I’ll make sure to take good care of her!” Pinkie promised. She make the gestures for a Pinkie Pie Promise.
When Frost came back downstairs, Goldrings was waiting at a table, with a box of cupcakes on it. There were also two large glasses of milk. He waited for Frost to be seated before speaking.
“This won’t sound very diplomatic, but can I ask what happened?” he said. “I’m no expert on biology, but I don’t think this is the normal age at which one dies. So, what was it? Lightning-struck tends to be one of the most common cases.”

Goldrings flew right alongside Frost as they descended to the ground quickly. It was less flying, and more of a controlled fall. They reached Ponyville after about 2 minutes. They flew through the streets to the large, familiar bakery.
“Hello, welcome to Sugarcube Corner!” Mrs. Cake called from across the counter, as the pair walked in. Her eyes were drawn to Northern Lights instantly. “Oh, what a beautiful foal! How very fortunate you two are.”
“No, it’s not mine,” Goldrings answered, as they walked over to the counter.
“Oh, I’m sorry for the misunderstanding,” Mrs. Cake apologized. “How may I help you today?”
*Frost giggled at the slight display of misunderstanding. She looked around at the bakery, taking in the sights and smells of various tasty treats*
This is quite the place. I almost missed all of this last time I was here…
*Frost sighs a bit and hangs her head slightly at the memory before looking back up*
I could go for some cupcakes. How about you, Goldrings?
Goldrings thought for a moment.
“I guess our order is a dozen cupcakes. Assorted flavors, please,” Goldrings said.
“Of course,” Mrs. Cake responded. “Would you like to take the foal upstairs while you eat? Pinkie’s watching the twins, and I’m sure they’d love another playmate.”

Goldrings smiled as Frost landed. He strapped his saddebags around him and hovered a few inches in the air.
“I’m doing fine. I hope you are, too,” he answered. “I see that you’re bringing your filly with you. Well, just make sure to keep a tight hold on her on the way down.” Goldrings flew over to the edge of the cloud, looking down towards the ground far below. “Ready to leave?”
((Birthday in 3 days…))
((And what am I doing? Desperately working to finish my Eagle Project preparation. Well, that’s current, anyway. Throughout the week, I’ve also been handling my 4-H portfolio, which is most definitely sending me to Roundup to see my friends from Middle Tennessee.
Anyway, just felt like sharing my thoughts about this week. I will be online for most of Sunday, because for just one day, I’m gonna give myself a break.))

Stupid queenie, always cursing me not to blow things up…
(OOC: I apologize for the in-joke, long story short, I blew up an old temple of Princess Celestia in the Pony Pathfinder Campaign, and after Celestia found out, she put a curse/geass/quest/thingie on me not to do it again)
My name is Goldrings, Bright Eyes! Not Goldylocks, or Sir I-Run-Into-Pain, or Sir Gets-Set-on-Fire! Even if those last two would suit me fine!
